QUICK REVIEW: Clean & Clear Morning Burst hydrating gel moisturizer

Hey guys,
Here we go for another quick review. Looking for a great gel based moisturizer? Meet Clean & Clear Morning Burst hydrating gel moisturizer. Take a peek below!
The front of the packaging.

The back of the packaging.
This product claims:
This ultra-lightweight, non-greasy moisturizer wakes you up and leaves skin feeling immediately replenished. It's formulated with water, not oil, and contains a unique blend of cucumber and green mango extracts. For clean-feeling and refreshed skin, use this facial moisturizer daily.-Clean & Clear
For the past 6 weeks, I have been using Retin-A. The sides of my mouth, my chin area and around my nose area has been flaking. To combat that, I was using Proactiv Green Tea moisturizer. But I have been searching for a budget friendly gel moisturizer. I picked this one up for $5.99 on sale at Walgreens. I would apply this after cleansing but before moisturizing in the daytime and before Retin-A at night.
After using this moisturizer for 2 weeks, I can truly say this is probably one the best gel moisturizers I have used, especially for the price. It brightens up the skin with the mix of cucumber and mango extracts. It also help soothe the skin. Try putting it in the fridge for a cooling sensation! This one retails for $6.99 at most drugstores and online.

Pros:

  • Moisturizes
  • Brightens
  • Lightweight
  • Price
Cons:
  • None

QUICK REVIEW: Wet n Wild Eye Makeup Remover

    Hey guys,
I wanted to do a quick review on this stuff right here. No fancy words on this one. I am just that disgusted. I am a true fan of Wet n Wild products, but this one was a complete and utter fail!
    The front of the packaging.

    The back of the packaging.
Normally, my reviews are pretty lengthy, but this one right here, will be quick. So this stuff is suppose to take off eye makeup. Well, got this for $1 at Fred's. Which is a steal for a lot of product. Got it home and tried it out for the very first time. Took a cotton pad. Opened it up and the liquid looks just like nail polish remover. You know the Cutex Strengthening one that is purple and smell like rubbing alcohol? That is exactly what this smelled like. So one swipe across my right eye and that did it. This stuff burned my eye like no one business! My eye was sore and red! I had to hurry up and rinse this stuff off with water.

Checked the ingredients and lo and behold, this stuff got citric acid and fragrance in it! What are these doing in a eye product? Oh, and after that incident, my eye makeup was still on completely! I was expecting a little product removed from my eye after that experience. Has anyone else used this stuff and experienced the same thing I did? :/

The only thing that I liked about it was the packaging and the spout on the top. It made it easier to distribute the product on the cotton pad. I ain't even going to touch pros and cons because this one is just that bad.
I threw it in the trash and didn't look back. At least I only spent a dollar! :/

    Rating 1/10

    More pictures..........

The spout...the only good thing about it!

The product on the back of my hand. I
poured a bit out just to show the consistency
    of it.
That's it for this quick review, which was a dud. Do you like these quick reviews where I am rambling off the top of my head lol? Let me know!

DOUBLE REVIEW: MySpaLife Refreshing Under Eye Strips and Wake Up Under Eye Revitalizer

    Hey guys and gals,
MySpaLife was kind enough to send me two products to review for them. Thanks Marita! Remember, that these opinions are mine and mine alone. I am not paid to do these reviews. My opinions are 100% honest and truthful. Do you suffer from tired, sore and puffy eyes like I do? I know when I wake up in morning, it looks like Mike Tyson has went 10 rounds on me and still ready for more battle. But seriously, my eyes are sore, puffy and tired when I first wake up in the morning. I try to get as much sleep as I can, but due to personal reasons and a death in the family, I have not been feeling the best. Could these two products help out? Let's see!
    The front of the packaging.
    The back of the packaging.

The Refreshing Under Eye Strips, which is packaged in blue and was very easy to open. When reading the package, it contains cucumber and lemon for anti-aging and brightening, which if you know when you go to a spa and get a facial, they place cucumbers on your eyes to help re-hydrate them. The lemon in it helps to lighten and brighten up dark spots.
A close up of the strip.

I cannot remember the last time I used under eye strips. Maybe 5 or 6 years ago? Ugh. As you all know, I only use Avon Anew Genics eye treatment. You can use these either cool by placing them in the refrigerator or warm by placing them in warm water for a couple of minutes before use. When I first received these strips, I refrigerated this pack so when I woke up in the morning, I would have something cool to place under my eyes to wake me up. The directions says to thoroughly cleanse and dry your face and eye area before placing them. After that, you would place them on the under eye area and lie back and relax for 20 minutes. After removing them, I did notice a decrease in the puffiness of my eyes and my under eye area did look well rested. I pat the rest of the product onto my eye area until it disappeared. Very soft and moisturized. Nice!

    Pros:

    • Easy to use
    • Price
    • Moisturizing
    • Brightens
    • Nice and pleasant smell from the cucumber and lemon
    Cons:
    • None

Next up is the Wake Up Under Eye Revitalizer. These eye strips are similar to the Refreshing Under Eye Strips, but these claim to wake up tired and worn eyes by stimulating and revitalizing the under eye area with Espresso, which is a stimulant and Vitamin E for moisturization, leaving your under eye area softer, firmer and glowing!
    The front of the packaging.

    The back of the packaging.

The first thing I noticed when taking these strips out, was the smell. It smells exactly like chocolate! If you are not hungry before opening these things, you will be afterwards! I also noticed that these strips looked different. The Refreshing Under Eye Strips had a curve in the center and these had like a slight V-shape to the center. I preferred the curve shape of the Refreshing Under Eye Strips because it was a little easier to place under my eye then these, but this was not a con. It depends on what you prefer. If you prefer the curve shape, good and if you prefer the slight V-shape, then that's good too.

A close up of the strip.
The instructions are similar. You would peel one eye strip apart from the set and place it under your eye area. Gently press and roll your finger across the strip until it is firmly placed. Now lie back and relax for 20 minutes. I swear those 20 minutes fly by so quick! After the 20 minutes was done, I removed them from my eyes and patted the rest of the serum in. The instructions say that you can add a eye cream or lotion afterwards if you desire, but I did not need to do that. My eyes were moisturized and very awake. Puffiness be gone! Nice indeed! But I will refrigerate these in the future for a cooling experience.

    Pros:

    • Easy to use
    • Price
    • Nice and pleasant fragrance
    • Moisturizing
    • Soothing
    Cons:
    • None

According to MySpaLife website, both of these products are $12. There are 24 strips in both packs, which makes up 12 pairs. So for about a $1 a pair, you are getting 12 treatments. Which is not bad at all for the price. I use both of these products 3 times a week and switch them up on each occasion. Just a suggestion to MySpaLife, it would be more convenient if there was a variety of the quantity offered. Such as addition to the 12 pack, add a 24 pack or a 36 pack. :)

    Rating: 9.5/10

Would I recommend these products? Yes indeed!
